To all,

It's hard to believe that this movie has reached its silver anniversary. When I was a little kid, I wanted to be like Roy Hobbs!

Another classic baseball movie just turned twenty...Major League!

(Please just watch the first part, Major League II was an absolute train wreck!)

That single scene is credited with inventing the modern closer "mystique."

Still...my favorite Bob Uecker quote besides "Jjuusst a bit outside" is:

"Clew Haywood coming up, this guy leads the league in several offensive catagories, including nose hair. When this guy sneezes, he looks like a party favor."

"Haywood's a convicted felon, isn't he Monty?"

"Uh, doesn't really say it here."

"Well, he should be."

CLASSIC! :costumes:

One year I bought a baseball card off of eBay... they say it was from that run in the movie where they are making baseball cards...but... I don't if thats true...nonetheless... It is really cool...I got it for my dad for Christmas... It was one of those cheap little gifts and I put it with an 8X10 photo I printed off the web and put it all in a frame.... Whole gift cost me like $10...

Bob Uecker used to be an occasional guest on the Tonight Show when Johnny Carson was still the host. Very funny guy, he'd get Johnny laughing so hard he'd lose control of the show. :d

Yeah, "Wild Thing", that was one good movie. Loved the song too.

Bob Uecker, could keep you in stitches even tho he tried to make out like he was a little angel.. Once he started in look out... people would be rolling on the floor. I bet Carson came close to peeing his pants every time Uecker was on the show.
