Has anybody dealt with Audio popping/clicking?

I had to do a fresh install of my game because I corrupted my favorite plane being a moron.... only way to fix it was to wipe the whole thing clean. Anyway, upon reinstall I now have a terrible audio popping/clicking at regular intervals and also when I pull hard g's in some planes. I did not have this issue before, which makes this insanely frustrating....

FSX is starting to feel like maintaining a 30 year old muscle car... you fix one thing and then something else breaks...

I had this problem a couple years ago. 1st Check your audio drivers to make sure they’re the latest and greatest. Ultimately I had to un/re-install my audio drivers which fixed my problem. If you haven’t already try googling your problem. That’s where I found the suggestion that fixed me. I have no clue what caused it, just fired up the sim one day and there it was. Good luck!

BTW…I have one each of those!

A beefier PC can "fix" a plethora of ills. However, unless you're thinking of upgrading anyway, that seems like a sledge hammer swatting at flies.
