one of these? Its called a Mikitin NV-1, the smallest Soviet built aircraft.
 
looks rather like a Polikarpov I-16/17 derivative to me, the I-17 was smaller and lighter than the -16
(incidentally,the first I-16's had Wright engines) or maybe a Gee-Bee 'Y'

I thought it looked a bit like a Boeing P.26 Peashooter, or a hybrid Polikarpov I-16 and a P.26
