Discovering CFS2 again

I am trying to repaint a aircraft with BXTbmp. When the file is repainted what is the best file to save it in BXTbmp for use in Windows 7 32bit? Thanks for all of your help. Staying at home has made my wife a widow because of the time to learn to do things with the simulation again. I need to come up to speed for take off. :dizzy::pop4:

My go to is 565 if you don't need an alpha layer as most of the time 565 will look just fine. If you need an alpha layer I use 555-1, DXT3 or DXT1.
