Crusader

SOH-CM-2022
Just wanted to wish a safe weekend to everyone . Where I live (SE Ohio) in Perry County we are at Level 2 , just to the west in Fairfield Co(Lancaster) level 2 also . To the North of Perry Co , Muskingum Co (Zanesville) is Level 3 . What I am concerned about the most is I have alot of trees surrounding our house and alot of them are drooping pretty bad and I already have alot of limbs down . As long as I have electric I can stay hold up for a long time . SOH and flying !

Send us your pictures---Mine are on the way after I get alittle daylight this morning:

Rich:ernae:(Plenty of beer in the fridge and a full bottle of bourbon in the cabinet .)

PS: I feel for the people in the DC and Va area , I guess they really got slammed . It is suppose to taper off here this afternoon .

Hi rich...

Stay safe from falling trees...I have no clue what catagory we are in..We still have lots of snow and ice from last friday..Its been freezing rain here for yesterday thru late last night...

It seems warmer out this morning though..its still dark and cant see trees yet..I cleared all but one HUGH oak from near my house for that rason..It was topped three yrs ago to avoid it falling on my bedroom LOL Hope it stays put..

Gotta love a fridge full of beer and whiskey in the cabinet...LOL

See Ya :wavey:

Pictures of snow.....how about a warm sunny beach somewhere? I can see snow from any window I look out. I work outside and my fondness for snow left me many years ago.lol
Hope everone stays safe.

Curtis P40 has a good point! The first is where I want to be, the second is where is am. . . This D.C. storm has dumped the most snow here since the Blizzard of 1922 - Grrrr. . .

'Fraid not!

Just got our power back about 15 minutes ago. I knew when the snow turned to rain yesterday, we were in for a power outage. Ice Storm!!!! God Almighty, how I hate them. Right now, we're having a pretty light snow, but one can see that it will not be long before the sun breaks out! I love snow like nothing else, wish it stayed on the ground all Winter, but ice, that is a whole 'nother story! There is nothing but misery in an ice storm! Bless all these hard working people that have this weather crap like this and bring out power back in less than a day!

Roads are great, better than they have been all week. I took my wife to work this morning at 8:00 and they were wet, but not icy. Unbelievable, at least something in the past twenty-four hours has been for the good! I have to go back in and get her at four. I just hope the power stays on so I can see Cup Qualifying, Danica in the ARCA race, and the Shootout tonight!

Sounds like this blizzard may equal or surpass the Blizzard of '67 that hit the Chicgoland area. I was on semester break at the time,...not much to do but take out the snow shovel (few persons had snow throwers back then) and start shoveling. What was neat about it the sun came out to a cloudless sky the next day. And the silence. Nothing moved. Kinda' eerie in the beginning,...not hearing the sound of cars, buses, or trucks. But then the silence grew on you. Made you feel in a certain way a bit like a pioneer-homesteader type. Nature does humble us all.

Conditions in Chester, VA are not as bad as yesterday's prediction. We had a solid two inches of accumulated snow and sleet yesterday, but then it changed to rain and washed away nearly all of the new stuff. This morning there was a thin glaze of sleet and snow on everything, it's been snowing since 0800 and now there's about an inch on everything and the road is completely covered. It should stop snowing in another six hours or so. Based on the weather radar, the Baltimore to D.C. corridor is getting hammered.
