Sometimes I just like to fly. When do I use the DCG to make the missions.I have a DCG of Defense of Australia,Santa Cruz,Rabaul and just made a Beaufighter flying out of NG one this week. The stock ones that came with the program are all reworked with new planes, task forces and infrastuctures, makes it more interesting and more enjoyable.

It's easy to work with and the new scenery enhances it,but you need to do some hand editing for the new scenery airfields.

You could make a nice WWI campaign with it if you wanted to.It would only take a few days if you have the planes and scenery for it.

Wow, 67 views & no-one even asks a question? :sorrow:

I always liked DCG Burma '42, but Talon's China Task Force campaigns kinda superceded it ...

It does give a different "feel" flying missions without a clear idea of detailed objectives though, & flying the occasional mission & sometimes finding no opposition could be a relief to frayed nerves!!

For those interested, Ettico uploaded a 64-bit OS compliant campaign assist tool for running DCG campaigns on newer systems:

Ettico's Airboss 64

It's from 2012, so hasn't been tested under WIN 10 though...

UT I think only the old timers know about the DCG.

Today I find that most of the discussions about things involve mostly the old timers. The others just want things handed to them while others do the work.Heaven forbid if they say anything, their fingers might fall off as they type .

I think only Talon and Ettico did any real work with it.They both helped Lowengrin fix some of the problems with it.

BTW Talon did a China Air Task Force DCG.There is also a Battle of Britain DCG at SOH.

I like the randomness of it.

Is there an RAAF Beaufighter campaign somewhere? IIRC, Talon's Battle of the Bismarck Sea campaign uses the Beaufighter, but only for a couple of missions.

Talon started one but never got to finish it,it was 6 missions of the RAAF No.30 Squadron.I may add more to it in the future.

Thank you! :encouragement:

I have enjoyed the "Beaus in the Sand" campaign in the past, and thought it would be a nice idea to fly a campaign with this beast in the PTO as well.
