Here it is, this one works. :)

Unzip and place the enclosed files into your root cfs3 directory.

The effect is quite subtle but you can alter the .ini file to suit your own tastes.

No HDR

With HDR

I tried this and did not get it to work the game goes blank. What are the exact files that need to be added to the cfs3 main directory?

It only requires the d3d8.dll and enbseries.ini files for it to work. I'm still on XP so I wonder if there's an issue there?
Do you have any other d3d files in your cfs3 folder?

There is a version floating around out there that allows anti-aliasing if you use your graphics card settings to turn it on, but turning it on in the cfs3 config will still cause problems. I'll post the link if I can find it again.

Hi Clive,

well done mate, placed it in ETO, BoB, MAW and RS and I like the look very much.

Just dropped the files in and all worked without a hitch, thanks for doing this.

regards Rob.

Just got the chance to try it, very well done! Sunrise and sunset come out quite stunning!

Thanks Clive, brilliant: put all files in, and it works fine in my mean Win8 which hacks the instals (such a great effect so quickly).

Thanks Clive, I did have another version of this at one time , but it never worked with any CFS3 installs. You can get some really nice shots, especially at dawn or dusk! Only thing with my install, I can't turn it of with shift F12, it's on all the time??

The one from Creaghorns Homebrew for OFF does work with AA on in CFS3 config on my PC and I used it in OFF a few years ago.
But when I tried it now in CFS3-ETO it's much to dark and I haven’t been able to make it brighter even if I have modified the darkening and the gamma curve values in the enbseries.ini file. :isadizzy:

Let me know if anyone want to try this version.

Cheers

Hi Clive,
I tried the HDR bloom files and they installed fine straight into the root folder of CFS3.

I found that with my WinXP setup, in the ETO install, that things seemed fairly dark and the look needed a fair bit of tweaking of the monitor settings. Some of the light areas in the User Interface screens were unreadable - I couldn't read the text for the glare. Once I adjusted the brightness/contrast, the text was readable but the in-flight experience was very dark! The files seem to make the world very sensitive to cloud - when in full sunshine things look great, and in or under overcast skies things go quite dark.

I suspect that with my modified shaders.xml, the files work differently from in a stock setup.

It sounds like the files work straight off for people with Win 8?

There seems to be enormous scope for these files (and similar like the ones von Oben mentions) to make great changes to the viewing experience.

So I will persevere when I have time, trying the HDR stuff with different shaders and other installs.

thanks, :icon29:

I tested removing your shaders.xml and that cured the problem with the extreme darkness using HDR Bloom!
And modifying the darkening and the gamma curve values in the enbseries.ini file worked fine now.

Cheers
