• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Hello, Grizzly 50 and I have been working on my ETO. He found out that my game was missing a file ConfigOveridesw.xml we inserted the file into both game directorys and it worked for about a week. I moved my computer from my old house to my new one and it hasnt worked since. We have installed and re-installed so many times now it is killing me and Grizzly has given up. Every time I start the game it gives an error saving file to document, and then CFS3 gives an error file corrupt or missing. Please help I work from home so my number is 512 985 6880. My teamspeak ip is 24.27.31.226..... This is a challenge and whatever needs to b done I will do. CFS3 still works, and the missing file is not a cd problem as previously thought my friend in Oregon bought the same game and it is missing the same file.

:kilroy:AceX19, I haven't given up. I have never seen your problem before. Your ConfigOveridesw.xml is either corrupted, at least, that's what it say when you try to start ETO. Your ETO's won't run.

Your vanilla CFS3 install is missing it, too, even after running cfs3config.exe.

I even sent you several copies of the ConfigOveridesw.xml, but to no avail.

This worked until your move. I really don't think that's the problem.

Did you clean up your HD and accidentally get rid of something you need?

We even placed the ConfigOveridesw.xml that I sent you in your CFS3 and ETO main game folders, then deleted the ETO folders in Application Data/Microsoft and My Documents, and tried to run the cfs3config.exe. No dice.

Nothing I can think of works.

The only thing I can figure is that it's one of three things:

1. Your computer.

2. The game disks.

3. Something about your video card may not like CFS3.

I have no more clues as to the problem. I wish I did.

If there is someone else out there who knows what's going on and/or has any idea(s) at all about what's going on or fixing AceX19's problem, please feel free to post them here.

Meanwhile, I'm still thinking of what to do next.:d
