• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

HELP.....Black cockpit glass

Ok Heres my problem.
I did a complete uninstall and reinstall of FSX to my computer....
Today I climbed into my Favorite FA 18 to go for a quick flight up the California Coast.....
But this is what I saw instead on the airport outside the cockpit.
Here is the plane.


Heres my cockpit.....: NOTE All power is off.




Can anyone tell me how to fix this....?.

I believe that is the freeware Team KBT F-18 Super Hornet. I had the same problem, but a buddy of mine was able to find a fix. There is a package of it out there somewhere that has the corrected glass texture for FSX/Accel. According to my friend the black texture problems have something to do with one of the model files of the KBT package. I'm not sure if you can reverse the alpha channel in the glass texture or not. Hopefully someone here can advise more.....I'm a "FNG" when it comes to texture and alpha mods. If you can find the "good" package, no mods will be needed. Hope this helps a little.....cheers!!!!

Did you have a clear canopy on the same model before the re-install of FSX?..........or did you download it again for the reinstall and perhaps got a different package than the one you had before?!?!?
 
It looks like you are missing the (correct) texture for the (internal) glass.
