• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Hello Guys,

When I try to start a QF or Mission then I receive the following: "Please insert correct cd-rom".
My CFS3 is a dvd version.
Is there anyone who can help me out.

Yes alas OFF P2 was made before MS gave CFS3 out as 'cheapware'.

But all is not lost.....do this:

1) Navigate to where you installed your DVD version of CFS3 and locate the main CFS3 folder: \Microsoft Games\Combat Flight Simulator 3

2) Copy the main CFS3.exe file from \Microsoft Games\Combat Flight Simulator 3 to your main OFF folder i.e. to: \CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields

3) Delete the OFF file shell.exe in : \CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields.

4) Rename the newly copied in CFS3.exe to Shell.exe and you should be good to go!

BTW P3 takes care of these new DVD versions of CFS3.

No Cameljockey because your CFS3.exe will still require the CD just as does the P2 OFF one - this is so that we remained legal for P2 - you cannot run P2 without the CFS3 CD.

If you buy a copy of the new 'cheapware' Exclusive/UBI CFS3 DVD you will be able to do what Biero2 has done.
