• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

Help! Mission File Lailed to Load

Arezzo Railyard Strike (46th-194) mission failed to load when I press "Fly". I checked the mission .xml file and seem to have all required items. Anyone have ideas how to check for missing items or how to fix this? Thanks in advance.
 
What is your game ? if it's ETO you could be in the wrong ERA or the required facilities are not in the global layer.
 
i stand corrected , I have this mission and it does not work either :blind:.For some reason many missions have this problem unless you remove the goal at the end of the mission. I do not know what other solution to this problem.
 
Mission Failed to Load

This mission was downloaded from www.flightsim.com. Look under "File Library" and there are 206 CFS3 Missions. I had to edit the mission xml file because two aircraft were from Fire Power. I do not have Fire Power. There are two goals at the end of the mission file. This is a CFS3 mission, not ETO.
 
Mission File Failed to Load Fixed

Thank you gosd! I edited the mission file with Notepad and deleted the goals. The mission flys normally.
"Logans Run V (46th-158)" may have the same problem.
 
Instead of deleting the goals try putting the goal value at 1

The reason you have to change this because the Item is missing..It is calling for a target(Facility) or Spawn that you don't have.

By changing from a "two" into a one, you change from Must be destroyed to Must survive..

The Game engine will allow the mission to run because the goal(must survive) in the game doesn't happen until the final waypoint is reached..
Thus allowing you to fly this mission without the item..

remove this Goal and all will be well..
