Not sure, sounds like jibber jabber LOL. De Koninklijke Marine (Royal Dutch Navy) did operate 2 carriers only, both named "Karel Doorman" :

- QH1 Karel Doorman (escort carrier, ex HMS Nairana, leased from Royal Navy from 1946 - 1948)
- R81 Karel Doorman (Colossus class carrier, ex Royal Navy HMS Venerable, in Dutch service from 1948 - 1968)

hschuit,
thanks for that, my Dutch is non existent my German was better depending on Amstel availability.

I knew about this Karel Doorman but not the one before.

R81 Karel Doorman (Colossus class carrier, ex Royal Navy HMS Venerable, in Dutch service from 1948 - 1968)

Many thanks

Rich

Rich, it is most likely a joke used on the carrier. I think what is say is "Land on (it) or swim".

Cheers,
Huub

Nope, there was a package released that repainted the late war Vic to stand in for the colosus class. Theres Aussi, Canadian, Dutch, French and Brittish ships in the pack all with mickey mouse names. Not ideal but it beats landing a Sea Hawk or Banshee on a CVN.
