Ok, so a while back i was having an issue where 2020 would start fine and then just stop, or get stuck at the checking for updates page, someone,im sorry ive forgotten who it was that suggested i do this, they said to let it get to that stuck "page" and then disconnect the internet from the PC, so i did that,and then i shut everything down after i pugged the cat5 plug back in and let things happen, there were several notices that came up, i let things settle down, then shut the PC down, gave it 10 minutes, not sure if that makes a difference or not. lol. I turned it back on, looked at a few things to be sure it was working correctly. i then restarted the sim. As it was coming up, id seen the "updating" word come up in a text box, not looking for updates, but updating, it was only on the screen, at most 15 seconds, then the sim continued to load. the "blue" (as it appears to my colorblind eyes) line was working its way across the bottom of my screen.It got to the end and i could not see the other color (looks like a light red to me) at all. on the screen was three large boxes each had a 3 at the top, the only one i can remember the wording in was "bush adventures" i believe, maybe one was 3 new airports? i may turn it back on tonight and if it happens again,im sure it will, ill take a pic with my phone and add it here. This is really frustrating. makes me want to just sell everything and just work on my models.OH one other thing, before i started to mess with the sim, id had the tv on, and the sound bar was working fine. i then tried to use my new headset, and i lost all sound. I dont see how it could have affected the TV (sound bar) though? sure is discouraging though. id like to just get '24 and remove '20 completely. but i cant afford the $200 just yet, i had it set aside two months ago, but then life got in the way,i got a $350.00 bill from the hospital after my kidney failure scare just before christmas.

Dave, try resetting your Flight Sim. To do that, find your Flight Simulator in your programs dropdown list, right-click it, then left-click "More" then "App Settings." On the page that opens, you will find "Reset," where you will have two options: "Repair" and "Reset." Click the "Repair" tab and let it do its thing. If that doesn't fix your problem you will have to run the process again but this time select the "Reset" option.

There are many times when my sim seemingly gets stuck at the Updates screen, and I simply get up and walk away for a few minutes. Sometimes it eventually finishes. Just never know. NC

Also look at the time format (the way it is displayed), the timezone and the server that is being used to sync the time.
After having done that, reboot, check that things are like you set them before the reboot, go to the X-Box app, log out and log in again.
Then try launching the sim again. It should work!
