help with ETO installation

Okay so I'm currently trying to install the ETO expansion pack, but I've come a cross a problem. Once I unzip the file, and open up a directory that copies all the files, which I sent to C:\Program Files\ Micorsoft games\ or whatever and it says to open up the multi CFS 3 Icon but its not even there, i've tried re-doing this over and over again and nothing seems to be working
 
Sounds like you're trying to do this manually. Not good. Run the program file you downloaded and follow the instructions included with it.

Once done, MultiCFS3.exe will be in your Microsoft Games\CFS3 ETO Expansion directory. But whatever you do, read the instructions first. I'd print 'em out for reference.

You're not trying to install the version 1.2 update first, by any chance? That way madness lies....
 
no, i think i'm doing everything right, its just the multi cfs3 isn't made there after I finished making the directory
