Help with SAMM (Static Aircraft .mdl Maker)

Duckie

SOH-CM-2024
Here's my issue. Trying to convert the AI - JYAI A-6 Intruder for FSX/P3D to a static model for P3Dv4.5. The model seems to covert just fine and shows up in P3Dv4.5 but the texture does not. The texture is a single 1024x1024 DDS/DXT5 file. The SAMM conversion process creates and sends a static model to the P3D folder with the texture file. However, the texture file is also sent to a "Work" folder in the SAMM directory.

There is no mention of this in the SAMM manual. Any thoughts on what's happening?

BTW - I'm using SAMM to convert several other similar AI models and have had no issues up to this A-6 model.

Thanks --

EDIT: Well, I didn't quite finish. Here's the rest of the story. The static model is process. However, when I use MCX to position the static model and export it the texture file "fails to load". So something appears to happen when using MCX v1.6 to reposition the static model causing it to be unable to load the texture.

Anyway, I sure would like to be able to use that A-6 as a static model.

Modle on left is SAMM converted static model as first opened in MCX. Model on right is same model after elevating the model on left in the same session in MCX, exporting it and then opening the exported model in MCX.

Hey Cees, no I haven't. What should I look for? There are no clues in the error messages, just "failed to load."

Just open the materials list, click on the corresponding textures in the list and see what happens. And is the exported model in the same location?
MCX doesn't export the textures.

I’ll check the materials. It exports back to the correct folder with the texture.
