Found this gem of an airplane while snooping around flightsim.com. I was doing a search for complete aircraft (those files that have the complete package) and came across this and since it was done by some of our own here at SOH (Craig Richardson, Huub Vink and Tom Falley) I figured it had to be great. Only problem is that after unzipping and installing I discovered that the gauges were left out. The panel config calls for "luscxml!" but I can't find it after doing several searches using that file name. Does anyone have this airplane, or do any of the folks named here know anything about locating that file? Thanks.

I believe it's the gauge file from Classic Wings Luscombe 8A/8AF Silvaire. You can try downloading that and dropping the file into either the panel or gauge folder that should do the trick.

Thanks Roger, that's the same file I downloaded last evening. There seemed to be only one person who had any concerns about the gauges and it turned out to be a texture problem. No one else in the 4 pages of posts ever mentions it. Apparently the main gauges are hard coded so Craig mentioned that no gauges were needed. That's not entirely true though as there are other gauges needed for the aircraft, but apparently everyone had them, lol. I did download the "Silvair" and used those gauges but that had no effect. I've decided to cease looking any further as there are enough gauges in the cockpit as is to fly with.

Ed, did you try the original from Craig's site?: http://www.classicwings.net/
The panel.cfg is empty except for a GPS pop-up window, no mention of any other gauges in there.
Yes I did. When I open the panel in FSPanel Studio there are quite a few '98 gauges which are no longer compatible and some other gauges that don't show at all. Problem is they are named in a way that doesn't tell you what they are, ie: lusc_push, lusc1 and so on. There was one window that was named "Radio_Stack" but only had a spot for the Cessna_208_ECU which I don't have.

It's fine though, the airplane is a real gem, looks terrific and I'm enjoying it a lot. I've made adjustments for the radio's and a few other gauges and all is well.

Ed,

The gauges textures can be found in the main texture file. They are called gauges.dds and gauges1.dds.

Cheers,
Huub
