Just a HU: Henrik has released his latest Global AI Shipping update, available now over at Avsim. 200 new ships and routes!

Regards, A.

Awesome! Been blown away by the previews. Thanks for the heads up. :encouragement:

Thank you Henrik! :applause:

Cheers,

Thanks for the info! Anybody knows if the previous packages is needed with this new file? Or it´s a "standalone" new version?
:encouragement:

Hi Flaviossa.

This is an update only. Henrik strongly suggests the main install from last year is installed first (which kind of suggests it may work without, but think of what you'd be missing!)

Just curious if anyone knows if he's done anything with Mississippi River boat traffic?

Hi Guys

Can someone ease point me to where the update is downloadable :encouragement:

sorry scratch that I found it :pop4:

Regards
Rick

Thank you, Henrik! Shipping just makes the world feel much more alive; I recently installed FTX global, so I am flying in places I wouldn't usually fly, and really enjoying seeing new ai on the water.

Norwegian frigate of Nansen class

Amazing work as always Henrik! The oceans are alive with your work. It is great pleasure to fly and spot the ships roaming the oceans.

I still need to create those double ended ferry routes in Greece...

Thanks for the new escorts Henrik..

Great srceenshots! They match quite well and you discovered that the package includes more than what you see at the first sight!!! (For those not knowing there are several "classic" repaints included but not activated like the British Broadsword class in three variants.) I would love to include the Birtish aircraft carriers but never took the time to ask for the permissions.

Yes indeed.. first things first.. look down the list and see what's hiding in there!!:encouragement:

I don't think Gary would mind that incarnation of Ark Royal (his latest.. 2010 config) to be added though of course, permission would have to be sought. Think it's about time I let my little Ton Class Mine-hunter out into the big wide world too. Will clear it with Dave Garwood first (he made it for me) but I can't see any problems. Use would be limited for it as they're all plastic now but it'd fit fine in a 50's/60's/70's scenario;)

That would be great! I am thinking about how to approach the classic routes. Inside the packs there probably around 150 - 200 ships which date back to the eighties or earlier; everything from fishing boats to ferries and navy tankers - most have been included because they have survived and are still active; others are included for nostalgic reasons - like I saw them as a kid, my dad sailed on it, somebody aske me to do it because he sailed on it... It would be perfectly feasable to do an eighties package with the material now available however it would have to be limited to certain areas - eg. the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. it would be more fun to do a 60 package because of the larger variation of ships before everything was put in containers - however for that I still need to create a bunch of models.
