drug addict , cant do much but steal and sell his p.r machine ,,,many di for him ..he even sold hilter a bill of goods .

so my question is i wasnt part of that era, why and how did he pull it off ..i suppose today we have madoff types etc....
 
the best salesmen and the best politicians do it all day every day........ if you can convince someone they need things and things done....and it is safer and better that you handle it for them......you can be rich very quickly and easily...
 
Ecspecially drug adicts......they have a habit to feed.....and you can never feed that kind of monster like that on regular wages.....
 
Göring was a fighter ace in WW1 and had a quite incredible life afterwards. Flew postal service around and had some pretty amazing adventures. The hardcore hero type in those days. He changed a lot after his wife died. In the later years he was a fat junkie, arrogant and stupid.

It just goes to prove the old addage - people are promoted to their own level of incompetence. Former fighter ace or not, he had no business running the Luftwaffe.

Post WWI/PreWWII Germany was run by psychotic, arrogant, greedy sicophants (sp?). Most who didn't fit that description were spineless. A few who were neither, Erwin Rommel for one, were rewarded for their success in combat and moral courage by being relieved of command. Or having it suggested to them they would be better off taking their own lives.
