Do you guys know of a great hex editor i can get to edit mdl files and bgl files?

I use frhed, it is free and was recommended when I asked the same question

You need "BGL Analyze" to open the bgl first, no idea, where one can get it now.

Also, you need SCASM to assemble your tweaked file again:
