• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Every time I try to explain this to somebody, they look at me like I have three heads.

This is from a silly movie from the early 1980s called Xanadu. It was a musical, or sorts, featuring tunes from, among others, Olivia Newton John, and ELO. The ELO tunes are good. The ONJ ones I could actually live without. No, really... The movie was about music. A musical about music. Imagine! I only remember one part of this movie.

So watch this video. It's The Tubes, and ONJ. When I first saw this scene in the movie (which this is not, thank God...) I went “hey, that was pretty cool!” It's two different songs, right? But wait! Ok, just watch. Promise to watch the whole thing! LOLOL.

I loved ELO as a kid, still like hearing their songs when they come over the radio. Olivia Newton John too, whew! :icon_lol:
 
I didn't recognise any of the songs, but its was pretty cool
