This is a repaint only for the Aeroplane Heaven/Justflight Spitfire. This Spitfire, PV202, was built at Castle Bromwich in 1944 as an LF IX. Completed after the D-Day landings, PV202 entered service in October 1944 with No.33 Sqn. and later with 412 Sqn in which it scored three kills. Post-war, she was one of six Mk IX's sold to Vickers for conversion to a two seat Type 509 configuration, for use with the Irish Air Corps in 1950. Her most recent restoration was in 2002 - flying again in 2004...
