I remember read Mitchener's Poland many years ago. That country was always in the wrong place when it came to wars.

I have no idea what all that stuff was that happened back in antiquity, but the whole vid was a pleasure to watch. Yeah, I also liked all the characters taking their bow at the end.

Great to see I still remember a lot from my history lessons from school and even nicer to see the events in a coherent row. A truely remarkable history with deep down lows and also most important highs! I came in touch with polish history a bit closer, cause a former (teenage) friend´s family claimed to be some descendant familyline from king Sobiesky (if I remember correctly he defeated the turks, right?). They owned some interesting books about polish history.
