regards Rob.

Can someone please educate the ignorant on this 190? I don't understand the excitement on this thread.

Baffled Beau:help:

look at that drop tank!!!! I await the author's 2 cents... However, my guess is, tho' nearly complete, the virtual pit is gonna get a little final texturing... Although its already fantastik!!!
Jon has seen fit to model the prop pitch onto the throttle handle.. NICE!:medals::medals::medals: and nicely laid out... too!
She flies like a dream... just like I would imagine... a bit heavy to get up in the air... but she's FAST___lots of big heavy power and easier to roll than to turn... not nimble like an Emil or a Machi, but NICE...
Oh and another thing which I hope he doesn't change... She wouldn't start! I kept auto-starting, over and over...
So I thought: gee... then I enriched the mixture up to the stop and cranked the big BMW w/ manuel ctrl+s one last time and Voila!
she caught in a cloud of unburned fuel smoke (glycol?), roared to life, and I wuz off...
Landing wuz predictably heavy, but I wuz still able to stall/drop her w/ a bump on the runway threshold at about 88mph (w/ FULL flaps) and after one shallow 'umph' (you couldn't call it a bounce 'cause she don't DO 'bounce'!) she settled at about 68... It may not be 1% but I'll bet its pretty damn close!!

All in all, a real pleasure :medals::guinness::medals::icon29::medals:

A labor of love?

Methinks that this is the case... Jon can put an aircraft together pretty quickly... But THIS one has had some time and thought (AND research, no doubt!)
The more I look around, the more I find... so far I've found:
'Candy-cane' gear indicators on the wing tops (when the gear is down, 'acourse!)
3 Flap control buttons, INCREMENTED! -right next to the...
Sliding gear switch/indicator,
Throttle lever has a "engine start" indent in its 'throw'(!!)
Throttle handle 'twist' prop pitch control!...

A second push on 'F6' gives you a gun/cannon firing view which, though zoomed, is not at all claustrophobic!
(usually I can't wait to get out of this type of view!)

Plus, as you do a SLOW walk-around, ya keep seeing more an' more bumps and covers... (and more!!)

In flight the prop spinner and engine cooling fan are perfectly animated...

The MS Focke-Wulf don't even qualify as a sloppy 2nd!!!

The amount of detail Jon puts into his models, especially the pits, is astonishing! Jon is a true master craftsman. I would get excited if he made a paper airplane!:jump:

I sometimes wonder how many 190s CFS3 needs, but a model of such detail is very welcome. A fine piece of work, that pit!
Perhaps Jon could explain how the steering tailwheel animation is done, I've tried it myself but either my eyes are fading or I keep missing the details in the SDK?

The MS model - well let's say it could be better, and let's not even start with its crappy FM. Me, I like the AvH one.
