Honoring Those Who Serve

After I had installed the Feelthere E-Jets V2 that I have had for quite a while since it came out, I wanted to have a unique texture so I Googled new repaints of Alaska/Horizon ERJ-175. I found photos of one I really like and identified with being a veteran: Honoring Those Who Serve. I found that someone had done a repaint of it but for the new V3 from Feelthere. Not wanting to have to buy a new aircraft, I kept looking but no luck and V3 is an entirely new model and in no way compatible textures with V2. I won't go into the 4 weeks of trial, error, blood, sweat and tears as well as hours of suggestions from FSDevelopers, I finally was able after creating my own paintkit for it that worked to create this. There is a quirk in the feelthere model for V2 that won't let the lines on top merge perfectly no matter what but here is the result of my efforts. If anyone who has feelthere e-jets v2 and doesn't mind its not perfect but "as good as it gets" I am happy to share it by a PM request with you.

Just To Explain The Repaint

The livery is part of a new initiative called “Alaska Airlines Salutes,” which combines the many employee-led efforts to support and honor those who serve. The design features an Alaska Airlines Salutes medallion and a fallen soldier badge, with the Battlefield Cross to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. This aircraft and also the B737's with a similar livery that are part of the initiative, frequently fly home the remains of those who've given all so that we can enjoy our freedoms. That is why the yellow border around the aft cargo area and the text and symbol are on either side.
