Hello- According to what I've read, the H-VII first flew in May of 1943- they had initially intended to use it to test the Argus pulse-jet as a means of propulsion.

Say, Fliger- for the most part this model flies pretty nice- but the ailerons lose almost all of their effectiveness above about 170 kts or so. Do you have any idea which part of the .air or the aircraft.cfg file I might tweak to adjust this? I compared the performance of it to the Northrop N9M, which behaves in similar fashion, but much more manageable...

Ailerons:

Table 342 affects effectivenss vrs angle, probably not you issue.

Table 518 is probably you culprit, aileron effectivness vrs dynamic pressure.

Also look in primary aerodynamics under Cl_da (roll moments, aileron control).

These are Hex tables and a bit difficult make sense of unless you get Aircraft Airfile Manager. The primary aerodynamics can be edited with AirEd.

Jet propulsion made these designs somewhat more practical.

Sure enough- #518 was a straight line to a point where the line drops drastically off...
