How 'bout that F-1 qualifying?

Cazzie

SOH-CM-2024
I just love it when they return to Europe, I can get up early, take a walk, get back, bathe, and see qualifying and the race at 8:00 AM EDT.

I love F-1's format and it was just as down-to-the-wire exciting this morning as always.

They're calling for rain in Spain tomorrow, so maybe we'll get to see a good race too! :ernae:

Caz, you go Jenson.

Hmmm...
I wonder why there's a marked difference between Red Bull & Torero Rosso

Driver, engine, both?

Yes, both RBR and STR buy their chassis' from Red Bull engineering, but adapting it to the engine and any further development the teams need to do themselves. RBR has a lot more resources than STR, which is basically the former Minardi team.

And I do rank Vettel and Webber higher than Bourdais and Buemi (Though he has shown a lot of good things the first few races)

Agreed...
Well, seeing that "Mainstream Ferrari" hasn't done that well in comparison to McLaren......

And Brawn is powered by those same Mercedes engines....

Hmmm.....I'd sure like to the engines on a dyno....

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Although it's great to see Button in the winner's circle often, I think history will remember this year as a controversial one where new technology combined with interpretation of the rules had a major impact.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

As someone else eluded to in this sub-forum earlier, does Brawn's success highlight just how overinflated ($$) & mis-managed BAR & Honda were....

Or is Brawn's success due to a simple, but clever interpretation of the rules?

...Must be frustrating for Rubens to be "2nd fiddle" to yet another driver....

...Whereas it appeared that Eddie Irvine was more comfortable with the role....

Looks like Massa is Brazil's best hope even though he's not in a Brawn or Red Bull....
