...can you shoehorn into one patch of land?
I recently added moving ground traffic to Kansai (Part of Overland Japanese Airports Vol 5) and loved the effect.
There is also AES to service the aircraft.
Ground textures are GE PRO
Sky is Flight Environment.
AI is (some) PAI, and WOAI.
Oh, and I threw in some AI helos just to get the frame rate down into the teens!

Aircraft is Overland A380, still the only one I have.

I was struck by the attention to detail in this scenery: in a corner of the airport complex, there is a roof garden, complete with ornaments and viewing scopes.

Very Typical of you Charl , some super damn fantastic AI :applause: .... The viewing scopes , binoculars , we had them on the viewing deck at Christchurch Intl , they are superb to use in the humid air watching the biggy's come in , especally a 747 .. they picked up a halo across the wings , this one was in a short final turn , amazing to see :engel016:

Very impressive. . .won't ever happen on my system though:isadizzy:
Well...you never know...I never thought I'd get into GA planes either, and I did, FS is like that, draws you in as far as you want...

Ian I've also stood at the downwind end of the runway with binoculars, watching the biggies take off.
I'm always amazed at how, for a loong time, you are looking at the top of the aircraft. The foreshortening adds to the effect.

Goodness!!!!

Do you know how many polygons are in those shots? How many textures?????

:faint:

Mind boggling.

Great that you have a computer that can run all of that. Awesome awesome...

Thank you for the words, guys.
The computer was built for FSX a couple of years ago, so is not bleeding-edge: Core2Duo 2.4MHz, Nvidia GTS 250, 2 GB RAM and so on.
Like many I returned to FS9, and love throwing stuff at it.
These shots really have that "i'm in japan" feeling.
And with good timing, there arrived a very nice Bell 212 to complete the visit:

Plus a little flyby for atmosphere :running::

-Best watched in HD...

Still distracted by the Japanese experience...
Lionheart mentioned how many polys there must be - well, the vehicles are 3D rendered, and the parking lots are full.
I just gave up...the flightsim rendering engine is to be respected, certainly.

But something else caught my eye.
Those familiar with Airport Enhancement Services will know that the little man (I called him Friedl when he first appeared) walks out with the pushback, and gives a little wave when you move off.
Well, Friedl is Friedl no more, as he speaks with a distinctly Japanese inflection in Japanese sceneries.
And, I kid you not, instead of the wave, he gives a little bow!

Fantastic Shots:medals:. Nothing wrong with going back to Fs9 or keeping FSX locked up on a different HD and FS9 on another. I too love throwing the kitchen Galley sink at Fs9. Fs9 still amazes me with its strong engine and agility:ernae:.

wow, these seneries are awesome! hmmm..tempting....but there are so many (just checked, 9 packages!)..which one do you suggest to get if had to choose 1 to start with? I do fly in and out of Narita a lot in real life...hmm...

It's a toughie, huh feng?
I'd say Vol 3 or 5...
My favourite is Kansai, as I know it from way back when it was astonishing freeware, and the magnitude of the engineering construction appeals to me.
It's also self-contained on its island, so you can really load it up to maximum reality.
Narita is beautifully done, so might appeal if you know it. But Tokyo is a big place, and to make it all real will take a Lot of scenery and patience.
Whatever you decide, be great to see some shots of the result on your system.
