Well, Hell visited me Saturday. Friday MSFS was performing like a gem. I get up Saturday morning, it starts loading and I get a message than my device does not have the recommended specifications for MSFS and some problems may occur. What? Man, you can't go but one tier higher than what I have in a PC. Anyhow, screen turns black and I spend the rest of the day trying to get into MSFS, can't even find the file in AppDate, can't find FlightSimulator.exe. Nothing! Gone in an overnight sleep! I ended up having to uninstall the entire sim, which in itself was Hades. You could not find MSFS in Settings > Apps to Terminate, Reset, Repair, or Uninstall! Let me tell you, the marriage between MS and Xpox (yes, for me I spelled that correctly, that's exactly what I think of it). But anyhow yesterday I was able to reinstall all (took all day), but even then, it failed to put an icon to open MSFS and FlightSimulator.exe could not be found! Well, I found it in System 32 of all places and made me a special icon that doesn't have to deal with all of Asobo's opening screen crap. I don't know if you care to use it, but I have been a Windows geek since MS-DOS and I have a book larger than the Holy Bible on Windows. Anyhow, all you do is open Command Prompt and copy and paste this after the >.
"C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C start shell:AppsFolder\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App -FastLaunch"
Do not use the " and beginning at end. Thank me later if you use it and like it. Use whatever drive your MSFS is on if not "C".
