How much will Window7 cost?

You’re probably wondering how much will Microsoft dare to charge for their latest PC OS and after Vista’s success you should do that. Will Windows 7 prove to be another bad investment? From what we’ve seen in the beta so far, the new Windows looks better and it’s definitely more stable.

And here’s what Microsoft is going to charge for it:
Will we see any special prices? What about upgrade costs? Shouldn’t current Vista owners get a bargain price when upgrading to Windows 7? Kinda a wee bit steep, I sure hope they give the Vista customers a break on the updating to Windows7.I like what I have seen so far and it seems to be very stable. Being since Window7 hasn't really been released I wonder how this was leaked out. Dell says that MS is selling the new OS for to much money and it will force the cost of computer to go up. I think it is a way to get MS to come down on the price...lol...which is ok to me.:engel016:What Dell says about the cost of Windows7 >>>>> http://www.dailytech.com/Dell+Revea...an+Vista+Worries+about+Price/article15177.htm Some of the new features and compare >>> http://www.dailytech.com/Updated+Windows+7+Editions+Compared+With+Table+of+Features/article14198.htm

ouch!! :isadizzy: :isadizzy: :isadizzy: *puts his xp disks in a safe for the forseable future*

Well I hope they have a systems builders license.

Those prices are crazy. Good thing I just bought another copy of XP Pro

Windows 7 Ultimate: $319 Sold. Dont care abut that price. This one in 64bit makes my computer and FSX/Fs9 purrr in wedded bliss.

MicroSoft is putting a premium price tag on Windows 7. We'll see how well it sells and how well Mac sales do in competition with W7. My feeling is that M$ is pricing themselves out of the home and small business markets.

I think those prices are the full copy not the update....I hope...lol.Being since Vista was really a total flop for them, I wonder if they are trying to recoup what they thought they would make in Vista sales. On top of all of this, DX10 never really took off like they thought it would. I don't think DX11 will take off either. As we all have seen, DX10 takes a lot of juice. At least in Window7 it doesn't need the kind of power that Vista needs to run. From what I have seen so far in Windows7 and how they have set it up, I feel it will be the new XP on the block. Prices will drop as time goes by.Window7 for me has been very stable. More stable the Vista.I have been using Window7 since it was released and have not gone back to Vista or XP for anything so far....but who is to say that won't change...Mike
