Hello all,

As many of you know I am new to this. I need a little help!! I keep my plane in Frederick Maryland in real life. It is my home airport.... I want to create AI for my simulator so when I fly out of Frederick I have some of the real warbirds coming in and out of the airport like real life. How is this created and done? Can you use any of the planes in you library such as (WWII P-51, Alpha sim T-6, MAAM B-25 Exc...) Thank you for any advice.....

Well, to explain how to create AI traffic is a bit of a hard job in one message, but here are some links you can use to learn to do it yourself:

Yes you can use any aircraft in principle as AI but I don't recommend to do so when the aircraft is very complicated because that will slow down the simulator very soon. I think that almost any type of military planes are to be found as AI too. It only takes some time to search them over Internet. I am sorry but I can't advice any particularly place to find them. AvSim and FligthSim are good quesses. MAIW has a good collection of more modern warfare.

Edit: Here on Sim-Outhous there is also some nice military airplanes I myself use as AI. For example some made for CFS2 by Thicko (flies well in FS9 too). When you use an ordinary flyable plane as AI you can rip off from it panel and sound folders and make it that way a little bit lighter. You need only model and texture folders anyway.

Pekka,

Thank you very much for the advice!! I will take a look at the links and do some research. I am sure I will have more questions but this is a good start.

Thank you again,

Ron

Download Lee Swordy's Traffic Tools and AFCAD from any of the big download sites and read the help files. That will tell you everything you'll ever need to know about AI.
