How to Eliminate Runway Markings?

Hi guys,

I'm new to FS9. I installed Golden Wings 3 and started a company in the 1920's with Air Hauler...having a great time! GW3 does a great job of transforming things back to the 20's thru 40's, but the runways still have modern markings (taxiways are all grass). I found some old style concrete runway textures to use but I don't know how to make the markings go away. Is there a global (or local file for each airfield) that I can delete to eliminate runway markings all together? I don't need to edit them, just make them go away completely.

Hi,
Marc Renaud has this file showing the runway types available for FS9 which might be helpful. Some of the surfaces do not have markings on them. Why this is blue I have no idea.

That is done with AFCAD on each airport individually. It's very simple, you can change the type of line or markings on runways, aprons, etc. or turn them all off. Have fun!

Brilliant!!! Thank you for this information, Terry. I downloaded AFCAD and was removing runway markings within 5 or 10 minutes.

Thanks for the file, LemonAdeDrinker. Wasn't really sure what I was doing so all information is helpful. Will be turning many of the small airfields into grass strips as I also remove runway markings.
