I was flying the Connie around the Canal Zone and found an Air Force Base. So, I landed to take a look at what they had there. There were some P-47s and B-25s that I didn't get a pic of, but I did get a pic of a B-35 and a C-121.

And in case anyone is wondering how I got a civilian aircraft onto a military base, I flew slowly by the tower and showed them my retired military ID card :d.

If you've got time to linger for a few days, there is some pretty good fishing for Peacock Bass in Lake Gatun as well as some of the best steak houses in the world in Panama City.

That's the old AlphaSim XB-35. Like a lot of older FS2002 aircraft, it makes a great AI in FS9. I've got them showing up at quite a few Air Force bases that I've done AI for.

I wish there was a newer one for FS9. The XB-35 was quite the interesting aircraft that just took too long to develop and was canceled.

The MATS Connie is the FSDezigns L-049 that I converted to AI by using the CalClassic's AI L-749 flight model and plugging in the L-049 contact points and lights section. I had so many paints for the L-049 that it replaced a lot of the CC AI L-749s in the AI traffic. A wee bit harder on the frames, but it looks so good in FS.
