Dassault Falcon 7X for both FS2004 and FSX

http://www.premaircraft.com/Falcon7X_FS9/index.html

I haven't tried the FSX version but in FS2004 it's a a keeper.

Nice flyer, VC is typical PAD with a glass cockpit.

My only 'gripe' is that the text & numbers in the MFD are a bit small for tired old eyes but they do have their typical 'hotspot' pop-ups and the MFD then becomes easier to read.

Loads a bit over gross wt. so check your fuel & load.
Autopilot picks up and tracks VOR/ILS smoothly.

All in all a very nice addition to the "Fat Cat Ramp" -- I'll be off to a resort destination as soon as I load my golf clubs.

Put in the fsx radar and i have the perfect CG interceptor.:applause: Now were is Gera's scenery of C. America.

I like the PA planes because I can usually crank up all my settings and have a smooth flight. Exception being their Mu-2. Anyone else have performance issues with the mootoo?
Going to try this latest one soon.

Another great job by those folks at PAD!! Looks and flies great in FSX! As Srgalahad said, if there was one thing I would tweak, it would be the size of the stuff in the MFD. Makes an awesome addition to my execujet stable! Thanks PAD!

Well who knew there was a pop-up area on the MFD! lol!!! I guess that's why they put that manuals folder in it.... :icon_lol: Again, great job!

Guess you were in such a rush to download it that you never quite finished reading...

Would have saved you a trip to the dreaded "manual" :173go1:
Seriously though, the enlargement helps but an adjustment to the MFD still would be nice when you're in one of those tight spots (what? you've never been vectored short to an ILS or had to do a circling procedure in a mile vis? with the phone ringing and your boss nagging you about dinner? and the sun glaring thru the only crack in the 'blackout blinds' in the computer room?)
It's not going to stop me flying it though... honest airplanes are rare and I haven't found anything quirky about it's flight envelope yet ... hmm maybe the autopilot's sloppiness holding altitude in turns is a bit disappointing for a high-end jet, but -- gotta stay alert!

This is an FSX forum. The link says that the airplane, while cool and free, is for FS9 only and won't work well in FSX.

Seek and ye shall find! If you go to PAD's site under "What's New" you will see that there are both FSX and FS9 models available for download.:jump:

. . . though I am not sure whether it is a true native FSX model made with the FSX SDK as there does not seem to be a second interior model (?) . .

(sings popular song)
.,.because the answer that you seek is in the question that you state...
:monkies:

I'm glad there is an FSX version though. Thanks for pointing that out.:icon29:

The PAD stuff is all FS2004 SDK. I've had a nice e-mail exchange with the guys, and basically they're doing this stuff in their spare time and they can't really invest in the tools to do FSX SDK stuff at this point.

So just do what I do... Keep both FSX and FS9 installed, and you can enjoy an even wider variety of planes. :) Just use FS2004 planes in the sim they're compiled for, keep your FSX folder for pure FSX SDK planes, and no more frustrations.

I know this subject has been well chewed over before but if the only way you can tell whether a model was compiled with FSX SDK or FS9 SDK is to look into the innards of the files I don't understand why some FSX simmers insist on treating ported over models as some sort of second class offering.

Bob.

The frustration comes from (1) FS9 planes don't work under DX10, necessitiating a restart to fly them, and another one to turn DX10 back on, and (2) FS9 aircraft frame rates are dramatically slower than FSX planes.

Solution: Run FS9 SDK planes where they were intended to be run - FS9.

I think it's great that people adapt FS9 planes to be playable under FSX for those who are content to run DX9. I just wish that those folks would clearly label the planes instead of just calling them "FSX," which they're not really.

Not a new problem, though. FS2002 planes flew like crap under FS9, due to changes in the flight model, but people would release FS2002 planes and call them FS9 planes.

Besides poor performance considering the basic graphics, some ports when I open a panel, gps, change views ect, I will get a white screen which will freeze for a few seconds. Xp,sp2.

Some FS9 planes have a big impact on the FPS, but most of the time this impact comes from the gauges, not the model.
Most FS9 planes have a very limited impact on the performance, at least for freeware.

I agree that it's very annoying for the DX10 users, though. I perfectly understand that DX10 users refuse to download FS9 planes. But DX9 users should not fear.

White screen comes either from the blomm effect (incompatible with FS9 format) or the panel tootips (driver problem).
