FS2004 Scenery--Miami International 1956 FL. Of the millions of travelers who pass through the present-day Miami International Airport, very few are probably aware that the current airport sits on land once occupied by three separate airports. Furthermore, there are still perceptible remnants of one of these predecessors, if you know where to look. In 1927, Pan American Airways decided to move its Florida base from Key West to Miami. The company purchased 116 acres of land from the Seminole Fruit Company near NW 36th Street. Pan American Field was opened in 1928, and featured the 1st modern airline terminal in the nation. The 1934 Department of Commerce Airport Directory described Pan American Airport as having 4 sandy runways, with the longest being a 2,140' northwest/southeast strip. The passenger station was said to have "Pan American Airways" painted on the roof. The default Miami Int'l is OK if you're just going to be flying the jetliners into it, but for propliner fans the modern jetways don't work out so well, so based on a few photos here is Miami Int'l with the clock turned back to the 1950's. The terminal and hangars are custom made. You will need to have the CalClassic core installed and download and install EZ-Extra-Objects-1 Original objects by Lars Hoyer. Package by Steve Ziegler. By Kenny Fox.

Haven't installed it, just saw it while trying to catch up on files released while I was in Kentucky.

Suggest you hold off a while, Kenny is making some changes. He made the airport with AFX. If you open it with AFCAD2 the excludes will disappear. He is making separate excludes files for it now. But it is nice scenery and worth installing.

Yup, I attended the summer of 2004. Two of the best weeks of my life! After a while in my senior career I hope to go back as a TAC Officer.

Dang. I'm looking at FlightSim and don't see the fix. Is it a separate file or did he simply redo the original?
