HU: Scooter

Frank, can you ask phil to start looking at a ordinance manager

having several paints each with several load outs, is somewhat outdated and frustrating when looking at the select aircraft window

having lets say 5 paints that you can customize load outs is fair better than having 25 different thumbnails

just a thought
I agree and we have voiced our concerns. I'm not a C++ coder so I can't do anything more than that.

this sounds like good news also......so...who's gonna get my money? the F-86 or the A-4? hmmm?

[h=3]Oct 10 :[/h]The A-4 Skyhawk is very close to release ! The cockpit model is now complete, hi-res screenshots have been posted on the A-4 Skyhawk page. New features include click sounds for all active switches and knobs and 17 unique FDE's (flight dynamics files) for all the different loadouts. So now fully loaded aircraft will handle differently to lighter loaded or clean ones. Also, all parts of the aircraft which are visible from the cockpit, including weapons and tanks, are visible from the VC. The WIP screenshots of the external model have been removed from the A-4 Skyhawk page as these are not fully representative of the final model (all versions are still included), new, final ones will be posted very soon.

skyhawka4m - I'm both F-86 and A4 ... sad to say i had to walk away from GA .. what a son of a Beech :icon_lol:<input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><input jscode="leoInternalChangeDone()" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

Mal , that looks smooth , the A4 in the RNZAF Wigram museum was an old 'F' ex-USN so i guess forgiving the tail as it is squared and slightly larger canopy we could have a 'K' :kilroy:<input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><input jscode="leoInternalChangeDone()" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

Virtavia NEWS, Oct 26 :
"The final A-4 Skyhawk hi-res screenshots of the exterior have been posted on the the A-4 Skyhawk page. New replacement VC shots will also be posted very soon, as
some more detail has been added. The manual now has to be published and also final testing by several veteran US A-4 Skyhawk pilots and a current F/A-18F pilot. We are days away from release."

Guess what: I have a PC Aviator discount coupon expiring Oct 31st, but even if the Scooter is released later I will buy this plane no matter what.

ok...dumb question?.....is there a "paint" or "skin" of senitor John McCains plane ? i dont know what model it was,but the one he was shot down in Vietnam, had an "AH" on the tail, with a blue shape or somekind on the leading edge of the tailfin,"VA 163" Navy,,"USS Oriskaany",with a "300" on the nose...

Dave....I...as you can tell from my memeber name "SKYHAWKA4M" am a huge Skyhawk fan. I have MANY skins planned for this jet. Trust me McCain's plane will be done. :salute:

I have a feeling this and the F-86F will be very close and I'm not sure which will be bought first......mainly due to my interest in the Skyhawk I am leaning towards it. We shall see what the wallet calls for.

I didn't realize that that was McCain's A-4 but yes, I did start one based on a similar request over in the Oriskany thread. I also have one started for the VA-113 Stingers that operated on the Enterprise.

@ skyhawka4m
Hi. I just read your note further up and saw you had plans for that one. All I've done was to gather some reference data so I'll get back on the VA-113 and defer this one to you. Nice thing about the A-4 is that there are loads of opportunities.

I have a complete set of markings for it and also a few other notable ones from Veitnam...they were E models but.....I'm going to go with the F model without the hump for them. another I am hoping to do will be the Estosin aircraft.

Two Great Videos , Blue Angles , you really have to admire those guys and course the second video , ole No.2 Squadron RNZAF based in Nowra until disbanded and used against RAAF F-18s in training with an astounding shoot down record against the Hornet .

For the memory of Squadron Leader Murray Neilson , very appropriate - he was killed while practicing for the 2001 Avalon Airshow - the New Zealand Government then disbanded both No.2 and the famed No.75 months later.

I believe if there is a lot more interest with the A4 Skyhawk and sales are good maybe VIRTAVIA may think about doing a TA-4 or even the 'Kahu' mod ... :kilroy: only time and sales can say .
