Hurricane Ida

jmig

SOH-CM-2025
As I write this, Hurricane Ida is pushing 150 mph winds and heading in our general direction. Based on present forecasts it should hit this afternoon and Lafayette will be on the leeward side of the storm, but we should still see 80-100 mph winds. We could also lose electrical power. So, if I am not around tomorrow through Friday, it will be for that reason.

As they say, see you on the back side.

Glad to hear that. We got very little rain from it but just a few miles to the east they got hit strong enough to cause localized flooding. Not the major stuff like further out east. They really got hit.
