Hurricanes......

Hi all. Just been dusting off my rather neglected collection of Hawker Hurricanes - Aeroplane Heaven, SkyUnlimited, and the cream of the crop without question (if only for the VCs alone), Robert Sanderson's fantastic freeware hurricanes...which leads me to my question; why does there seem to be so few repaints for these outstanding aircraft ? Am I missing a stashload on some obscure site ?? ...Could any painters be tempted ?

Any pointers ? (I have all the paints I could find - no more than half a dozen in all).

I think there's quite a few repaints for the CFS2 version of the AH Hurricane, but i think most will work on the FS9 version if im not mistaken, maybe a trip over to the CFS2 forum to point you in the right direction.

Thanks Ian - but what I'm particularly after are repaints for Robert Sanderson's hurricanes. Any ideas...?

I'm afraid it's amazing but true - there are quite a number of outstanding aircraft for which very few, if any, repaints have been produced. I certainly wish there were more for Robert's gorgeous Hurricanes,

just downloaded the Hurri's will take a look once i've re-textured 90% of BrunoSK's Mosquito...:salute:
 
Have one on my to-do-pile...
Should become a certain Air Vice Marshal's personal Hurricane (marked as OK1).

But please don't ask when it's going to be released...

Hi,

It would seem that the Hurricane suffers in the sim much like the real thing did in comparison with the Spitfire. Whilst there are a handful of flying Hurricanes compared to dozens of Spitfires its also interesting to note that the IWM archives have tens of thousands of feet of film for the Spit compared to a relatively tiny quantity for the Hurricane .....

This probably doesn't help with the repaint problem, but it might go some way to explaining it.

I painted Roberts original Sea Hurri's many many moons ago (still fly em today) and did create a paint kit for it at the time. Yet, no takers.
