I am not a country music fan, but this is such a beautiful song.....

I was downloading some Jim Brickman music last night, and the song "Valentine" was amongst them. I had heard the song before, but it's been a while.

Such a beautiful melody. The lyrics are equally beautiful. Martina McBride really nailed it.

Most of us don't like the labels Henry. Well, maybe a billy goat will. What we like is the music. ;)

Martina is da bomb! :jump: She does justice to every song she sings.

Such a great voice for a little person ... :icon_lol:

Hey All,

When it comes to name brand women singing country music both Hillary Scott (the woman singer in Lady Antebellum - be very careful what you click on if you ever google her name- unless your into that :d) and Martina McBride are great and there is a long history of pure singers in women's Country music - I wouldn't even try to say who is my very favorite although I probably lean toward Patty Loveless and Jennifer Nettles a bit. That said I'm proud to introduce Joey Martin of Joey and Rory (her husband - lucky SObee). She is good with horses and cattle, drives a Dodge dually one ton, dresses cowgirl and can sing - what more could you want in a partner to "ride the river with" (an old cowboy phrase with deep meaning). Here is a song and a pic.

Hey All,

I brought up Jennifer Nettles and Sugarland.

It was - I think 2003 - Southgate Mall Edmonton Alberta - Baby Girl was just getting airplay on the radio - I drove 70 miles one way just to see this new band. It was free - they were playing on a 20ft by 20ft wooden stage in the middle of a mall. Their musical talent wow but more than anything - Jennifer Nettles - barefoot - looking and dancing like a 60s hippie girl in jeans while singing - the energy, the spirit, the sincerity, the total commitment, the fun... all for a small crowd of people in a mall. I knew right then and there this band was headed nowhere but for superstardom. It's the energy and dedication that is the difference between the BEs and the wannabes. You see that in every performance Sugarland ever does. Stay is typical.

Here is one of my favorites - seems appropriate the eve of the 4th of July in America 2010.

PS Annie Clements the bass player wow very smart of Sugarland to balance Jennifer with Annie - from an aesthetic point of view. :applause:

Whew! I do love watching Jennifer Nettles! I really like Amy Grant's earlier music. Not so much her current music.

Hey All,

This one is for NavyChief. Probably my two favorite (but not by much) Sugarland performances on youtube.

Jennifer can flat nail it on the harmonica! The moves are nice too! :d

Hey All,

To be fair. I mentioned two singers as particular favorites. Sugarland and Patty Loveless. I thought I'd post two Patty songs. Now before I do Patty isn't the "show woman" Jennifer Nettles is but she's got the voice and she's got "it" too. These videos suggest/show just how hawt/beautiful Patty loveless is and the voice is absolutely awesome!

Just my opinion - right as it always is! :d
