I am so "stoned"!

And..no...not on Mary Jane. But on stones...as in nearly a ton of mixed-color Class 57 gravel. Stones ranging from a nickle to a quarter in diameter. That's how much gravel I shoveled out of the bed of my father-in-law's truck, into a wheel barrow, pushed around my sis-in-law's new place and shoveled into place in her landscaping...which I worked on last week...ripping out a very thickly planted 40 foot long Hosta bed and replacing those sickly plants with 5 new shrubs. I am so BEAT! Started out doing it in high heat and killer humidity. Then in the rain as a storm front rolled in. When the lightning kicked in, I dropped my shovel and sat in the garage (I was too wet and dirty to be allowed into the house LOL!). Once the storm passed over, I went back to work. From just after 5 PM to about a quarter after 9 PM...I was shoveling and moving gravel. Now it's done...looks great.

And I get to do it all again when Deb and I move into the other side of the duplex in September or October and yank out off the sickly Hostas that are packed along what will be our side of the house.

You're a veteran now, it'll be easier second time around! :icon_lol:

I feel your pain. No decorative rocks though. My father-in-law built us a house last fall. We moved in on New Years Eve. I was out of town for the spring, so now I'm playing catch up. While most of the grass is coming in, there are large spots that need work. Of course, the area where I'm trying to put pachysandra and other decorative plants is where the grass grows very well... Can't win...

I bought a few small trees because the lot was used for farming. The ground is so hard from a lack of rain that I had to scape the surface and douse the area with a hose to get anywhere.

Here ya go Tim. How's the shoulders, much less the back?

Not that Hobbits know much about being stoned..
:monkies:
Last time someone tired to get me stoned was because I said, Jehovah!!

And No one will be stoned until the High priest says so!!
I don't care, even if they say Jehovah!! Is that understood!!

Thanks for Monty Python..:applause:

Ohhhh nooooooo. My sis-in-law will not ask me to do her laundry. She is SUPER picky about how her laundry is done...she is OCD after all. No worries about that chore coming my way.
