If someone can make us a new CFS2 A20-G, i promise i will make my share of textures for it!
How come this important version has not been made yet? (I know "old FDG" made one, but we need one with todays standards)

I know what you mean Morton....

I found my old template for her the other week and was toying with the idea of updating my old textures.... she's a great plane, but is showing its age...

I think this time around I'll paint up the Alphasim freeware Boston, with the hard nose mod... at face value I think it'll be easier to paint (I don't anticipate getting onto this one until around Easter).

Have you thought about that one ?

Pete

The Alphasim freeware model is not multi-lod, even the AI model has some FPS issues.

This may be something for me to look into, after I finish these Dornier-17's. The E and F series are in the works now.
An A-20 solid nose went through my box that WinPen32 wanted me to convert to Gmax, but it was already made for CFS2. The time it takes to do the conversion is about the same as making up a new model, hence not worth the conversion of an older model. I know that Morten will do an excellent panel and skins for the project, like with Wolfi's Ki-44.

More than I could have hoped for. :kilroy:

AGAS 5...correct me if I'm wrong but you and Daniel were about the only two to do paints for the Havoc.
I know this model wasn't conducive for paint on her nose...so no skull on your Little Joe...but still a great paint.

The source files for the FDG A-20 are readily available if someone wanted to take a shortcut. Adding multi-LOD & perhaps size tweaking plus re-doing the animations should be all that would be actually required for the 'G' model. For 'glass-nose',Havoc & early DB-7 versions, I'm sure that it would be another story.

Well yes, but over PNG and New Britain the Boston III usually operated in pairs. With a reasonable rig that one AI doesn't slow things down too much.
I like your post-Easter plans Pete!

I'm sure there were others.... maybe on the old FDG site ? I only did a couple.... gave Daniel my template so more could be done....

What ever you decide upon Morton, I'm looking forward to them !!

Cheers,

Pete

This model seems to be easy for painters. I will try to make a couple which maybe are not in work by others. Russia, North Africa. And i know i have some stuff somewhere which can be compiled to an alternative panel.
