• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I just don't understand vandals.

Neither do I nor any reasonable person. Though I have to say that the structure of the monument does not look too substantial in the first place which may be a design flaw. The brick looks as if it was secured purely by cement mortar, surely some rebar.
 
Man, why can't idiots leave things alone? Sick doesn't even begin to discribe it. I'd like to get my hands on em and then they'd know what sick means. ;)

Back when we lived up north in NY vandals did that to headstones in the cemetary right next door to us during the night.... less than a hundred feet from the house. Never heard a thing..... until a car hit one in the road at about 3am and the State Police came to investigate.
 
I find it hard to believe that people are that bored and malisious to do that...

That crap really makes my blood boil, we had some low life(s) here in NB who took down the Cross at the War Memorial in our capitol city 2 days before Rememberance day it is sickening. Punks with no respect for the service and sacrifice of the men and women who protected our way of life and kept (and still keep) our freedom ... there are times I would support Tar & Feathers or some other such reasonable punishment....

when i was a kid, a couple of tards from the neighborhood did that to the cemetery on 48 (cathedral, i think?) they were bragging about it at a party, and when they proudly told how cool they were, everyone who had family there beat the livin hell out of them and left them in the street.
 
Its enough to make you sick! Cape Meres Lighthouse was hit a couple weeks back, the person that did it drove up an access road and proceeded to open fire on the lighthouse.. Destroying the light in the process.
