I keep getting emails from myself!

Hey guys,

Spam has really dented the 'email world' with all their various ways to advertise things from houses to dark garbage, or deliver terrorist virus', but one thing that really dumbfounds me is how they can send me emails with my own email address tag?

Makes me look like I am writing myself.... lol :isadizzy:

yeah, that happens to me too. My work email addy gets spoofed occasionally and I get spam from myself.... talked with the network security guys. They say it's not being generated from my machine.

And sometimes you have to wonder at the topics of conversation that you're sending yourself ! :costumes:
 
do you want an ickie.net email address, I have a human verification and a black hole for spam and virus protection

mine is so bad that yahoo email has me limited to 2 emails output an hour..they think its me thats the bad guy...and they wont help me fix it

Yeah, I keep trying to sell myself viagra and rolexes, maybe I am trying to tell myself something :isadizzy:
 
Dave, Yahoo is as bad as AOL's email. I gave up on my CompuServe email as it was all junk and they wouldn't set anything up to stop it. That's why I'm only using hotmail for now. At least Hotmail lets you tag junk and it goes directly to a Junk folder. I hardly ever have junk show up in my In Box. Plus, you can mark incoming emails as a Phishing Scam and MSN checks into it. Why forums won't recognise Hotmail is beyond me. In the long run it's one of the better emails out there... IMO.
