I know I saw this one in here

Might have been in the FSX forum?

It is most well done, three liveries, two fictional, a perfect airplane for the low and slow crowd. Includes a banner with all three textures, use the O or L keys to operate.

I have been playing as usual. :icon_lol:

I got it at Simviation:

FS2004/FS2002 St Georg v1.0 Package. St Georg was built 1927. in a small factory of Svetozar Vlajkovic and Sons in Belgrade. The plane took off for the first time on 14.May 1927 ( piloted by Vladimir Strizevski ). The same year plane participated in the internetational Air Fair in Prag where the old Anzani engine was replaced by Walter. St George was the first officialy licenced civil plane in Yugoslavia ( X-SABC ). Installer for both FS2002 and ACOF. Donationware by Zoran Sivcev, Luka Midic and Goran Savic. 4.6MBhttp://www.simviation.com/members/fs2004vintage31.htm

Yup, the banner is customizable too, so you can make it say whatever you want by editing that texture......:jump:

...Kinda' looks like a Pietenpol Air Camper with a rotary engine. Wonder which one would win in a drag race.....

I wish there were a layered Paint Kit. I love flying it, no aerobatic, but smooth and great in turns. Easy to land.

The sound is the same as that of the Sopwith Camel for FS2004. It used a Walter 6-cylinder radial and being a 1927 aircraft, maybe OBIO could work up a sound file from the Spirit of St. Louis for a more real sound of the engine.

Messing around a bit with a wood texture. A tad on the large size for scale of my wood texture though!!

Nice find Cazzie. It would look a lot nicer with some fine wood textures on it.

If you decide to take it on and repaint it, let me know. Being a finish carpenter for many many years, I have loads of very nice, and exotic wood textures.

I believe this is where you saw the subject

Ole Boy, I keep photos of many various wood textures, along with metal textures, ground textures, sky textures, etx, in a special Texture folder in my FS( and FSX Repaint folder. I use to keep them at 1024 X 1024, because that's the maximum size for FS9, but for FSX, I save them at 2048 X 2048. They do come in good. I shall see what I can do.

It is a very nice piece of work.

On your textures, use guide lines and the rectangle select yool and make wood panels. Make your wood texture small enough for scale and paste it into the selection. Work each panel in the same way.

Messin a bit more.

I could go on forever. Changing this, changing that. Enhancing...editing.

Hey Cazzie,

My wife told me I spend more time in the paint booth than I do in the simulator. And, I have to agree. :kilroy:

Messing about a bit more, I took your advice when I replaced the fuselage panels. The new ones fit perfectly.

The wing looked a bit shabby. So I got out the new fabric, pinking shears and dope, did a few repairs. Not fully inspected yet, but I must make sure she is air worthy.

welcome to the true repaints world Oleboy, more time in paint booth than in sim, i even made myself a Hangar at my most used place in-sim complete with barrels of paint outside :icon_lol::icon_lol: don't forget to tidy the booth up once in a while too, oh and no smoking nearby after a fresh spray has been applied :kilroy:

I haven't even activated that part of it in the sim yet. Too busy goofin around.

I'll have a look
