I Live Half a Mile North of the Airport &

Right now, there are several dark blue F/A 18s disturbing the peace, quiet, and serenity over my house!!

We have an airshow this weekend and they are all up there practicing.
This morning several WWII aircraft were practicing.:jump:

That is the kinda noise I don't mind waking up for.

Facing south, I have Keesler AFB to my Left and Gulfport Int"l to my Right. although
a few miles away from each.

I never require an alarm clock as long as the 6:30 am flight to Atlanta is on schedule.

Many times the C130's from the Hurricane hunters seem to be so low, I Think they
are trying to look at my wife in the swimming pool.

The air show has some of those C-130 Hurricane hunters here.
Just now the F-16s are playing around in the sky above us.

I hope the Hurricane Hunters Include:
Landing within a football field, that will make everyone go crazy
They put out Balloons ; well at least here on some training missions
and land spot on, never touching one.

It has been many years since I went to the base to see them, but
why should I ?..My house is under the flight pattern over the bay.

Being an ex-Navy brat, I do miss all of that. All I get around here is the occasional Cessna, or small commuter jet out of Portland. Kinda sad really.

I will ask my Wife Karen if she still has the Video.

(Karen is a Ret. Major USAF, her last assignment was Keesler. I grew up here and met
her when I relocated my Business from NJ back to here when my dad fell ill and I needed
to be closer to home to take care of my mother. We now live 3 houses down from her and
the house I grew up in.)

A C130 in training ( Keesler is a training base and home to the Hurricane Hunters)
Comes in on a touch and go within the football field size area, drops a pallet almost
exactly on the 50 yard line and continues back up to circle the airfield before landing
in the same area without a problem. Those guys are good.

I live a few miles from Langley AFB. I often go there to shop at the base commissary and get to see the F-22s go through their aerial acrobatics.

Patrick AFB is just across the causeways and a bit north of us.
Their flight path for south to north landing is right over our house.

Unfortunately, PAFB doesn't have air shows, ever.
Last year's Melbourne Air Show had the Thunderbirds.
They staged their F-16s at PAFB, but flew the show at Melbourne Airport.

The Air Guard C-130s are the only resident aircraft at PAFB, other than UH-60 USAF air rescue for Cape Canaveral.

If I knew how to do it, I would make my house in scenery creator and place it where it needs to go in FS2004 and FSX.
