Here's a video of one of the fish I used to have.....Mr. Mean. He was a hybrid cross between a Convict Cichlid and a Texas Cichlid. Meaner than a Texas Tornado on PCP. I had him for 4 or 5 years and really enjoyed his feisty personality. He was killed one evening a year or so ago due to the heater in his tank blowing its top...he was either electrocuted or killed by the shock wave of the heater's mini-explosion. Last month I learned that the entire line of this brand and type of heater had been recalled due to these heaters developing hot spots internally and blowing apart with enough force that the fish in the tanks were killed and in some cases the shockwave was strong enough to shatter the aquariums. All of my other heaters of this brand were taken back to the store and exchanged for new heaters of another brand....at no cost to me.

Well anyhow...here's Mr. Mean and his partner in crime Mrs. Mean (pure Convict Cichlid)...who is just as mean, but much smaller. She is still alive and well and will be getting a new tank come tax season.

My wife agrees

We have a 55 gal. ( which I had to reinforce the floor for, it's an old house) and I showed her your vids of your fish. Since she,s the fish expert ,as well as the rabbit(2) hamster(1), guinia pig(1) pet rat(1 ,yes I said rat) which all have a room for them all ,she agreed that the type of fish you had ,(have) are mean guys that we can't put with our other fish.
Did I mention the two cats and one Cocker Spaniel? No wonder I can't afford a computer! But their all family not pets,well maybe the rat.
