Hey guys,

For the Beaufighter campaign, I wanted to work on the airfiles for the Mk. Ic, Mk. VIc, and the TF.X

By adjusting the thrust scalars, engine specs, and the drag scalars, I was able to give the Beaufighter Mk. Ic and Mk. VIc what I think are dead-on accurate performance characteristics, including a marked increase in range. It may need a small bit of tweaking for aileron and rudder effectiveness, but that's why I'm asking for a tester or two. Here's what the airfile looks like in AirWrench...

And the specs I'm trying to hit...

Hey guys,

Thanks for volunteering to help. The modified airfiles are attached. Please note that for the Mk. VIc, the airfiles will work for all three variants by changing the sim-name in the aircraft.cfg and renaming the airfile.

The Beaufighter Mk. Ic is fine, but the range is severely handicapped. The airfile I did allowed you to fly from Alexandria, Egypt to Luqa field, on Malta, arriving with about 10% of total fuel remaining. This is very close to the actual aircraft specifications. Here is the mission for testing...

If there's no getting around this, I might be able to split the mission...have you fly the first leg to Benghazi and then continue on to Malta from there. I ended up doing that in Russia and in the Hellas campaign.
