Well not very often anyways...but I gotta say - this one is FUN

I just wish therewere more civvie paints for it...or if they're out there can someone tell me where to get em?

Tsk tsk tsk...

You have been missing out on my 1st love in FS.

Glad you finally saw the light! ;) :ernae:

I love them..But hardly fly them as I don't know how to keep them trimmed...They always want to climb for me, and I am constantly pushing forward on my stick to keep it level and fast...

It wears me out over about 5 minutes.....

Most hard core FS helo pilots remove the centering springs on their joysticks.

Before the fire I had a Thrustmaster F22 stick that I had modified by putting a long shaft on it (so it could sit mounted on the floor of my pit) & had the centering springs removed from it.

There are a few helos that dont have the nose up tendency. Off the top of my head I know the Nemeth CH53 doesnt & I believe their EC135 & BO105 dont either.

WOW Boomer..... I was hoping for an answwer......So its just no my lack of knowledge of them?

Seems like a lot to get the bird level.....

I tried reducing power..But it desends or goes real slow...So I guess thats why I pretty much leave them alone..

Its a shame too..As their are some nice ones out ....

That's flapback, you get it in real helicopters too, basically the airflow is getting under the front of the disc and trying to push it back moving it into the decelerate/climbing attitude. Of course in the real thing you normally have trim which is something that really annoys me about FS9 and FSX as I'm sure earlier versions had it.

There is a gauge out there somewhere, I believe it's called HeliTrim. You can add it to the panel of any heli and trim it just like a plank.

I had no idea this existed :ernae:

I hate Avsim search.... Their search never turns up a thing for me.....

Even if I know the zip it gets no hits...Agrrrrrrrr

It is well worth being persistant with Helicopters - they are certainly well worth the effort of being able to zip around or take really close looks at your favourite scenery! I love the freeware Piasecki H-21 (Mick Posch), I found it having wheels it was a little more forgiving on landings when i was still moving forward (and it is just darn nice!)

I found it straight away. Just type in "helicopter trim" & it will be 1 of 4 results.

Right you are....Came right up.....

I bet I tried 5 different things in the search box....LOL :jump:

I used to be the helicopter pilot when I play online battlefield vietnam. people always asked me to fly it and transport them to wherever they wanted or whereever it is best. I flew without a joystick... Now in fsx it's hard.

if your using the full version of FSUIPC you can activate helicopter trin in the .ini
change the line
ApplyHeloTrim=No
to
ApplyHeloTrim=Both
and you'll have trim on both pitch and roll
