I Want It - Just Can't Afford It

That is one nice looking camera but like you I think I will have to wait until it becomes affordable.

It reminds me a lot of the old film SLRs that I used to love and I still have a couple of my old ones here that haven't had a film through them in over a decade!

Maybe one day I will make the move to a digital SLR as my Olympus C-2040 is getting very long in the tooth now but still takes good photos despite being 10+ years old.

Never used an Olympus 35mm film camera myself, though I know they had a very good rep. There used to be a manual 35mm Olympus that was considered to be the best camera for 35mm astrophotography. The motor drive on my old Pentax SF10 gave up the ghost some years ago, and I haven't really had the money to take the dive into digital yet.

All my 35mm SLRs were/are Pentax models (Spotmatic, Spotmatic II and K-1000) but I have got an Olympus Trip compact 35mm and that took very good photos for a 'point and shoot' compact.

I always liked the quality of the 'glass' on Pentax lenses.

Same here, Tako. I had a really nice 70-210 Pentax zoom. Did most of my airshow shots with a Sigma 400mm fixed telephoto that seemed nicely matched to the SF10. The one camera from Pentax I always wanted to try was their big, medium format Pentax 67.

Hey All,

P you know Father's day is next month - right? Sell all your other stuff and give the money to you your better half and just buy it - what is it a grand? I think it is a great looking camera but I can't live without a vf. As you know I'm committed to Fuji - looking at the X20 as a carry around - but lenses for my XE-1 first. Right now my eyes are solidly on a Taylor GS Mini in spruce/blackwood if I can find it otherwise spruce/sapele. That camera looks great and it'll work with the lenses you already have.

With the exception of my x100 & film gear, all the other stuff is gone....
