This took all of about an hour, lol. Nothing is there aside from the narrow strip, although I did add a few buildings. One more (Concord Landing Strip) and that will end my trek into the Back Country. Four strips that start with Johnson Creek, then Big Creek, Wilson Bar and finally Concord. If you fly direct from Johnson Creek to the most distant of these (Concord) it's only approx. 45 miles, the other two sit in between those.

Here is a link to the video that put me onto Wilson_Bar:

At least in FSX/Orbx, this is much more difficult to get into. The river and valley floor is much narrower and the turn to the runway is at a sharper angle than shown in the video. Despite the fact that landing from that direction affords a straight in over the water touchdown, in FSX I would rather give the opposite end a try even though you have to come over the trees. Low and slow is the trick. Landing at or above 80kts will either put you in the trees or the water depending on your direction on approach. Full flaps and 60 or below.

Always in for a nice challenge!

While it doesn't include Ed's latest Idaho strips, here's a link to the challenge we used for RTWR practice in Oct 2008.

I'll look at the possibility of rearranging the task to include Ed's newly revised strips in the next few days.

Note: if you want to have accurate info on your flights and times, you need to install the Duenna software https://www.fsrtwrace.com/duenna.html
After landing to a full stop, Duenna will provide a text file of the data with times and a log of each leg showing max altitudes (if you are trying to 'play by the rules'). Each leg should be to a full-stop and new start of Duenna. (does not work with MSFS (2020)).

Reading thru the tread might give you ideas.

Falcon, your back country series look fantastic, can't wait to take a beaver into those strips with some weather. Rob

I flew them all and had a great time! Thank you! The only real problem I had was with Lower Loon Creek, ID67, which is placed in a pit? Very strange!

Edit: that was an elevation anomaly caused by Orbx I suppose. I let Orbx vector solve it.
