If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Idea for Another Income Stream

The OFF Teams is doing a great job with customer service, patches, the whole nine yards.

I recommend setting up the support regimen as a subscription service. Perhaps $25 a year get you more and sooner than a single purchase. The initial purchase can be thought of as income related to the R&D, while the subscription service is for the sustainment of the product.

In this way you can have the benefit of initial sales, but also a residual income stream. It also might allow fro a reconsideration of the steep $50 pricing which will prevent a lot of folks from taking the dive.

Having sort of a rough day at work. Needed a bit of a chuckle......

So, £53 for the game and £25pa to have it supported. Or £1 for the game and £25pa for support. Or any other combination of a pie cut into two pieces.

How about the whole pie, for a fixed price (one that doesn't blow socks off).

Sell one hundred pies for £50 each or one thousand pies for £10 each (where the cost of producing each pie is the same nominal amount).

Volume is where it's at, unless you're deliberately targeting an elite market where exclusivity is part of the product's perceived value.
